The Birth House
Wonderful story of the lives in a small town in Nova Scotia during the time just before, during, and after WWI. Love the references to the magical quality of plants and their uses. Dora Rare is a midwife who has learned her trade from a fiesty and warmhearted woman from Louisiana. She lives through trials and tribulations which make her a strong, independent woman. Can't wait to read McKay's new novel!
