This book is the last selection from NPR's Bryant Park Project's book club. I never would have chosen it without a recommendation. Surprisingly, I did enjoy it. Ms. Ulinich is a talented young writer. The cold sadness of Russia seeped into my bones as I read this. The heroine is funny, smart, and observant--great character development!
