This is a story of England in the mid 1600's, when paganism is becoming suspect and women who are "cunning" are many times suspected of witchcraft and cavorting with Satan. Two sisters become ensnared in a lie that ultimately changes the course of a young girl and her grandmother. The book is also filled with Piskies and Fairies, who share the English countryside. An interesting read.
