The Aviary
I enjoyed reading this with my 11-year-old daughter. Set in the last part of the 19th century/early 20th century, The Aviary describes a young girl's desire to experience life outside her home. Clara eventually becomes entangled in the greatest mystery of her young life. This story is captivating and heart- warming, with a dash of sinister-ness. Great read for middle school students and a nice break from dystopian adventures.
